Polycarbin Expands Operations with New Facility in Braintree, MA, Strengthening Supply Chain
[Braintree, August 1, 2023] — Polycarbin, a leader in sustainable solutions for laboratories, is proud to announce the expansion of its operations with the opening of a new facility in Braintree, MA. This strategic move comes in response to the growing demand for Polycarbin's low-carbon lab products and Closed-Loop recycling solutions on the East Coast.
With an established presence in Richmond, CA, serving the Bay Area labs, Polycarbin is excited to grow its footprint on the East Coast. The new facility in Braintree, MA, will serve as a central hub to partnering labs in the region.
"The decision to expand physical operations on the East Coast aligns perfectly with our mission of reducing the environmental impact of research," said Brad Kennedy, CMO at Polycarbin. "By increasing our capacity for on-site services, we will be able to divert even more plastic from the landfill and incinerator. The demand for true circularity and transparent material management has been inspiring.”
This expansion signifies Polycarbin's commitment to decarbonizing the scientific supply chain. With the new Braintree facility, Polycarbin will look to mirror it’s 180 sq. mile California-based supply chain, regionalizing recycling and lab product remanufacturing on the East Coast.
"We’re thrilled to expand upon our existing collaborations in Massachusetts and beyond," added Chris Dunfield, Environmental Services Manager. "Our team is eager to meet the need for a more sustainable approach to plastic stewardship.’
Polycarbin's Braintree, MA facility is set to open in August. This milestone represents a significant step forward for the company and the labs it serves, reinforcing Polycarbin's commitment to scaling a circular economy within the life sciences.
