How Does the Gamma Carbin Program Work?

Set Up Your Carbin

Assemble the box by folding and taping the bottom.

Place it in a convenient, visible, high traffic area of your lab.

Collect Nitrile Gloves

Discard any brand of nitrile gloves into the Carbin.

Do not dispose of any materials that might be infectious or hazardous.

Ship or Schedule Pickup

Seal the Carbin with packing tape before attaching and taping the lid.

Return your Carbin using the prepaid return labels.

Don't forget to register your Carbin on the Carbin Counter Dashboard.
What Can I Recycle?
Before exploring nitrile glove recycling options, it’s important to consult your lab’s environmental health & safety contact. This program is exclusively for non-contaminated nitrile gloves, and this definition may vary based on regional policies, local ordinances, organizational best practices.

Accepted Materials

Non-contaminated nitrile gloves
Non-conforming Materials

Latex, vinyl, or neoprene gloves.

Gloves used in workflows with acutely toxic or hazardous chemicals.

Gloves that have come into contact with infectious or pathalogical materials.
How do I Track my Data?
Polycarbin uses a third party audited, ISO 14040 & 14044 compliant Life Cycle Assessment to transform your recycling efforts into verified sustainability metrics that can be used for Green Lab Certifications, Zero Waste initiatives, and Corporate Sustainability Reports.
